Venice in Winter

Available December to December

From £395.00

For 1 to 3 participants

If you're planning a trip to Venice, why not tie it in with some expert guidance and tuition? Mark lived in the north of Italy for two years and was a regular visitor to Venice during that time. Since returning the UK, he has continued to visit this unique city and has run a number of group workshops there in the last few years.

Mark has availability for a limited number of 1-2-1 bookings each year. He will put together a bespoke itinerary, in which you'll benefit from not only high quality photographic tuition, but also his extensive knowledge of Venice; as well as showing you the iconic views, he'll introduce you to some of the city's lesser known, highly atmospheric corners.

What level do I have to be?

Any level. Mark is experienced at teaching photographers of all abilities, from complete beginners to aspiring professionals.

I've been to Venice before. What will I gain from this workshop?

Expert tuition and a truly in-depth knowledge of the locations to help you get the best possible images during your trip.

What do I need to bring?

An SLR or mirrorless interchangeable lens system, a range of focal lengths (ideally from wide-angle to medium telephoto), enough memory cards (or film!) for the day's shoot, tripod and whatever filters or other accessories you already have. If required, Mark can lend you some filters for the workshop, but please let him know in advance as due to luggage restrictions, there's a limit to what he can bring. Also bring suitable clothing and footwear for the locations and time of year.

What if the weather's bad?

Venice looks stunning in any conditions, so unless there's a genuine threat to life from being outside, you'll go ahead and create some great images.

What happens once I have booked and paid my deposit?

Mark will contact you to discuss your requirements, potential locations and so on. He will then send a draft itinerary, which you can and amend if necessary. The balance will be requested 2 weeks prior to the workshop.

Hotel Saturnia & International

Venice is not short of accommodation, but this hotel, just a stone's throw from Piazza San Marco and housed in a historic palazzo dating back to the 14th century, is an absolute gem.
